Biography:
Lady Death is a fictional character originating from the independent comics publisher Chaos! Comics in 1991. Created by Brian Pulido, she began as a supporting antagonist in the Evil Ernie series.
Born Hope, she was the daughter of Marietta, a good woman, and Matthias, a cruel and sadistic man. Matthias, later revealed to be a sorcerer, sold his soul to Lucifer. Hope was burned at the stake after being falsely accused of witchcraft by her father, Matthias. Before she died, she cursed all men, including God. This act propelled her to Hell, where she struck a bargain with the demon Pagan.
Pagan offered her a chance at vengeance, transforming her into a powerful, immortal being. She accepted, becoming Lady Death, a formidable warrior with supernatural abilities. Lady Death emerged from Hell, driven by a desire for justice against those who wronged her and to rule the dead. Her story has since been explored through numerous comic books, graphic novels, and various media adaptations, establishing her as a prominent figure in independent comic book history.
